Why do people still support Republicans?

In something as important as health care, were some people are losing everything they own to hospital bills, Republicans roll out their “ace in the hole”, to stop what 70% of Americans want. Below is the equivalent of a 6 year old covering his ears, and yelling, “LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!! I CAN’T HEAR YOU!!!”. The Republicans believe in freedom of speech but as soon as they ear something they don’t agree with they cry.

“On Saturday morning, a group of House Republicans — led by Rep. Tom Price (R-Georgia) — attempted to stop the Democratic Women’s Caucus from making their arguments about how the health bill would benefit women by screaming over them.” Read full story here.

I know the Republicans are trying to rebuild there base demographic, i guess I just didn’t realize they were targeting children and babys.

It should be obvious to all by now that the Republicans cannot win this debate on the merits of their arguments, because their arguments have no merits. So they will try to fend of defeat using every method, ethical or not, that they have. It makes absolutely no difference to them at all that they are wrong, they still think they can “win” this debate. And in the end, that’s all that matters to them. That they “win” and the Democrats “lose”. They don’t care one bit about the lives lost due to their stalling tactics.

And the truly sad and pathtic part is that if the Republicans are successful in their efforts, and there is no meaningful reform of our health care system, they will further lie and say it is a victory for the American people, that they won “fair and sqaure”, that the people heard both sides of the debate and rejected the “Democrat plan”, and that they were right all along. And most people will believe every lie they’ll tell.
